"It has allowed high magnification photographs of the eye to be taken without a slit-lamp."
It has allowed high magnification photographs of the eye to be taken without a slit lamp. It means we can document anterior segment lesions easily and accurately, reducing the burden on medical imaging departments, and replacing traditional free-hand sketches. Non-ophthalmologists can also send us photographs to improve the quality of their referrals, and to receive advice remotely reducing the number of non-essential hospital visits for patients. |
