iFlo Safety Upgrade: Double Protection and Smart Type-C Connection Reminder for Dry-Eye Home Care

07/20/26

iFlo has been upgraded with two features:

l  Double-layer protection with automatic 12-minute shut-off

l  Smart Type-C connection reminder

These two updates are designed to make iFlo easier to use, easier to explain, and easier to present in clinic or distributor conversations.

Double Safety Protection for a Defined Treatment Cycle

The upgraded iFlo safety system includes an enhanced double-layer protection design. The eye mask is designed to automatically turn off after every 12-minute treatment.

This extra built-in protection layer strengthens the safety design of the eye mask and helps reduce concern about extended heating beyond the intended treatment time.

Upgraded safety: An enhanced double-layer protection design adds another built-in safety layer to the iFlo warm-compress routine.

Automatic 12-minute shut-off: The mask is designed to turn off after each 12-minute treatment, supporting safer warm-compress use.

Greater peace of mind: The added protection layer gives users a more reassuring warm-compress experience.

Value for doctors: The 12-minute shut-off makes patient instructions easier to standardize during recommendation and follow-up.

Value for distributors: The feature is simple to demonstrate and easy to communicate as a clear safety upgrade.

Smart Type-C Connection Reminder Before Treatment

The second upgrade supports correct setup before treatment begins.

If the Type-C connector is not fully inserted, the iFlo controller gives 2 beeps and the blue light flashes twice. This reminds the user to fully insert the Type-C connector before starting treatment.

This helps address a common setup issue: the user thinks the device is ready, but the connector is not fully secured. A sound and light prompt makes the next step easier to understand.

Secure Type-C connection reminder: The prompt reminds users to fully insert the connector before treatment.

2-beep audio alert: The controller gives a clear sound cue when the connector is not fully inserted.

2-flash blue light cue: The blue light flashes twice to give the user a visible reminder.

Value for doctors: The reminder helps patients recognize an incomplete connection before treatment starts, making setup instructions clearer.

Value for distributors: The 2-beep and 2-flash prompt is a concrete product detail that sales teams can show visually in posters, demos, and training materials.

Combined Value: Easier to Explain, Easier to Follow

Together, the two upgrades create a simple user message:

Insert securely. Start correctly. Complete a defined 12-minute cycle.
