QuikVue Vet Case Study—Traumatic Corneal Ulcer Recovery

03/25/25

We are glad to share a vet case study captured by QuikVue eye imaging adaptor from Dr. Allison Fuchs.

An impressive progress series over the last couple months. This dog suffered a traumatic bite to the face and initially was diagnosed with damage to the lower lid and blunt globe trauma but no corneal ulcer. Unfortunately his cornea was upset about it and developed a severe melting corneal ulcer in the face of topical steroid treatment. We have been treating him for almost 2 months and he was released back to normal life once all the edema resolved. Over time, the corneal irregularities and pigment should continue to improve. His mom was so dedicated to his treatment and we were very fortunate to save this eye and his vision!
