QuikVue Vet Case Study—Corneal Infection and Perforation
We are glad to share a vet case study captured by QuikVue eye imaging adaptor from Dr.Allison Fuchs.
This perfect angel came to see me yesterday due to uneven pupils and concerns about possible ocular trauma. She was just adopted a few days ago and she is SO sweet! She enjoyed lots of snuggles and cheese whiz during her visit. Fortunately, ophthalmic exam showed that her right eye has some chronic changes that likely occurred before her eyelids even opened. There is scarring and her iris is misshapen (dyscoric), and I suspect that she had a nasty corneal infection and perforation. Thankfully that is in the past and she is visual and comfortable. While the eye will always look a little funny, she isn’t bothered and shouldn’t need any treatment! Her family was very relieved and we enjoyed getting to snuggle a happy kitten!
